Story

Recently we have been fortunate enough to involve lots of Middle School students into an outreach program to the elderly in Seattle.

Every three weeks we rotate age groups to a Salvation Army Community Center where the elderly have gathered for lunch. The kids interact, play cards, swap yarns, interview and hang out until time to serve luncheon to the elderly.

Our program is in its second year with the young and old alike looking forward to each visit. On the 11th of December we are going to put together a rollicking Christmas party inclusive of Santa and mystery guests.

After the Christmas holidays we will expand out relationship to include visitatins to the Veterans Hospital to see what the kids can do to help out our veterans.
